Business Manager | Wetland Revival Trust: Restoring high value wetlands and their catchments
- Report this post
This is a great project I am a part of at Wetland Revival Trust, restoring wetlands on farms. Over 80% of the remaining wetlands in Victoria are on private property, and many are degraded from European farming practices. Projects like this one are working to show what a difference restoring wetlands make not only to plants and animals that they are habitat for, but also to increasing the drought resilience of farms!#droughtresilience #biodiversity #restoration

After a combined 6 years, it has come time for me to say good-bye to Dog and Bone today! It is a poignant good-bye and I know I will miss the great team and culture. I am and will always be eternally grateful to Dan and the whole team for the opportunities I have had. It has been challenging, exciting, and most of all, great fun. I am feel incredibly fortunate to been able to work with so many talented but also compassionate and funny people over the years, both current and past, with extra special mentions to Daniel McKinley, Matt Walton, Kate Andrews, Amber Beard, Erin Tuhanuku, John Kostopulos, Angus Rama Keck, and Hannah! Some of the work I have been most proud to have been a part of during my time have included recertifying as a #BCorp, setting up and managing our $120,000 per year Impact Grants program for small NFPs, running our annual 2 Impact Events, attending important protests with our team, and achieving carbon neutrality this year! I know Dog and Bone will continue doing great things, and I can't wait to continue to see it grow and have impact on the NFP sector, albeit from a little farther away. What's up to next? I moved to Castlemaine a year and half ago, absolutely love it, and will be looking for a local opportunity there. First up though, a holiday!

It has been inspiring reviewing all the grant applications that have been coming in over the last couple of weeks, and will once again be a tricky decision for us to make! This round we have one opportunity for a larger NFP with 50+ mobile services to give our amazing telco team an opportunity to work their magic on a grant! If you have seen our grants, but haven't been eligible before, this could be your chance! If you have any questions don't hesitate to reach out to me directly

We're holding our annual Impact Event on the 9th June in Carlton, which brings together a number of great speakers from the purpose driven sector, and is a great opportunity to network with others in the sector. I have some tickets saved for people from the NFP and B Corp community - if you would like to attend, send me a message!#BCorp #NFP #impact

Dog and Bone's first round of Impact Grants for 2022 is closing soon! These in-kind grants provide technology support to NFPs with 50 staff or less. We can provide support across a range of areas -to see the examples of the types of projects we can provide check-out the link below. We appreciate how much time applying for grants can take, so we have purposely kept our application form super short. If you can think of an NFP that could benefit from a grant, please share the application link in the post below, and feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions. Applications close 15 March, 2022. We hope to hear from you!#grants #techforgood #bcorp #nfp #impact https://lnkd.in/gaVbEuhe
