Soup is one of my favorite foods. I believe it (along with slow cooking) was a big secret to my successful weight loss journey with the Weight Watchers Program. And a great way to easily maintain my weight as a lifetime member.

In addition to being satisfying and delicious homemade soup can be very nutritious. A balanced healthy dinner or lunch in a bowl.

The best Weight Watchers recipes for soup are packed with high quality low fat ingredients like chicken breast, vegetable or chicken broth, hearty veggies, whole grains, beans such as black beans, spices and fresh herbs.

The best part is how easy and delicious soup is to make in the slow cooker / crock-pot.

I love to make a big pot in my slow cooker on Sundays so we have plenty yummy soup leftover for weekday lunches and dinners. Or to freeze for meals on time-crunched days or anytime hunger strikes.

After years of making crockpot meals and crock-pot (affiliate link) recipes I've got a ton of favorites I'm excited to share!

Slow Cooker Chicken Parmesan Soup

Slow Cooker Chicken Parmesan Soup
With just a handful of easy to find, everyday ingredients, you can make this Chicken Parm Soup right in your Crock Pot. One of my favorite recipes for a cold day. 3-Ingredient Italian Style Bean Soup

Slow Cooker Italian Style Bean Soup
This super easy recipe for tasty, hearty soup that will warm you inside and out has only 3 ingredients: Ground turkey sausage, Marinara sauce, and Bean soup mix. Perfect when you need dump and go set and forget crockpot recipe that takes 8 hours or longer to cook.

Weight Watchers Taco Soup

Slow Cooker Taco Soup is a classic for good reason. It's an easy, tasty and filling soup the whole family will love. Though the recipe calls for lean ground beef, you could always substitute lean ground turkey. Or turn this into chicken taco soup by substituting chopped chicken for the meat. Instructions for a stovetop version are also provided.

Ingredients include a packet of taco seasoning and dry ranch dressing mix but feel free to use your own blend of spices such as chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, black pepper and/or cayenne if you prefer.

Top with a little shredded cheddar cheese, dollop of light sour cream and sprinkling of crushed tortilla chips if you like. Chopped avocado, fresh cilantro and lime are also a good idea.

Creamy Crockpot Potato Soup
Another of my longtime favorite slow cooker recipes. This hearty soup is sure to please the entire family, It certainly was an instant hit with mine. Served on its own, or with warm bread, crackers and a simple salad or fruit, this is one of those easy healthy recipes you'll find yourself making again and again. So inviting to come home to at the end of a long day.

Though the recipe calls for 6 medium potatoes peeled and chopped you could always substitute 6 cups of frozen hash browns to cut down on the prep time and cook time required.

And here's an even easier slow cooker potato soup recipe using frozen hash browns, a small onion, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup low fat cream cheese from Jenna @ Recipe Diaries.

I love this soup topped with green onions (chopped), shredded cheddar cheese (low fat) and chopped cooked bacon or turkey bacon.

WW Zero Points Vegetable Cabbage Soup

Weight Watchers Zero Point Garden Vegetable Soup (Stovetop or Slow Cooker)

There are lots of different recipes for vegetable soups but this one is longtime favorite with Weight Watchers. It's a great meal prep recipe filled with zero point foods like carrots, stalks celery, cabbage, frozen or fresh spinach and zucchini.

But you can modify it all kinds of ways to work with the flavors you like and ingredients you have available.

For example, I often use green beans instead of zucchini and tomato sauce instead of tomato paste. Sometimes I bulk it up with the addition of a little brown rice and/or can of beans. While it works for dinner tonight I think it's even better the next day for lunch.

Weight Watchers Crock Pot Italian Beef and Lentil Soup
When I originally saw this great recipe I really didn't think much about it. Then I heard several people singing the soup's praises during Weight Watchers meetings. So I tried it and now it's an all-time favorite Weight Watchers Crock-Pot recipe. Another that's even better the next day. If you can wait and add the zucchini during the last hour of cooking instead of with the rest of the ingredients so it doesn't get too mushy.

Slow Cooker Baked Bean Soup

Slow Cooker Mexican Meatball Soup
I first made this recipe for slow cooker Mexican meatball soup way back in 2009. And it's just as good now as it was then, I made this recipe more Weight Watchers friendly by adding two 10 ounce bags of frozen southwestern mixed vegetables (a blend of chopped bell peppers, onion, zucchini, baby carrots, and corn) to my version of Mexican Meatball Soup. This bulks up the soup with Weight Watchers power foods forZero Points. Use any combination of frozen and/or fresh vegetables you prefer. I also used turkey meatballs—instead of beef—since they're lower in fat, calories and Points.
