Why am I getting a bill from Labcorp? ›

Once your lab testing has been completed, we'll send you a bill at least once a month until the balance has been paid off. We will always send your bill by mail and email. However, you may receive a text notification of your bill if you sign up for billing services texts.

Labcorp reserves the right to refuse service if you have a past due balance. When you visit a Labcorp patient service center, please be aware that, as part of the sign-in process, you will be advised if you have an outstanding balance for previous testing services.

Billing services messages, sent from SMS short code 47106, include new bill notifications, payment confirmations any other billing-related communications. Other one-time text messages include ready-for-service notifications and Labcorp Patient password reset messages.

Labcorp will provide a Good Faith Estimate before your appointment in the above circ*mstances. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Labcorp will bill your health insurance directly. Your health insurance company will determine coverage and payment, as well as the amount for which you are responsible, such as copay or deductible, if any. Labcorp will bill Medicaid. Labcorp will bill Medicare.

Request from physician/facility

A physician seeing an indigent patient may authorize Labcorp to adjust a patient bill due to financial hardship by signing an indigent agreement with Labcorp.

Labcorp has an uneven reputation. Some facilities get positive reviews from consumers, while others get negative reviews. Overall, feedback on Labcorp's professionalism and customer service includes a number of complaints. However, their test results are said to be accurate and trustworthy.

Will Labcorp refund me? ›

Within 60 days of purchase, you may request a refund of your purchase amount less a $29.00 kit fee, provided that your sample has not been submitted to the lab.

Labcorp will file claims directly to Medicare, Medicaid, and many insurance companies and managed care plans. Before you have lab tests performed, please make sure: Your insurance information is up to date. Labcorp is a contracted laboratory for your insurance company.

Do Medical Bills Affect Your Credit? Simply receiving a medical bill doesn't affect your credit score, of course. Neither does paying the bill a few days late. Medical bills affect your credit score only if a collection agency gets involved.
